Woodland is the first and oldest neighborhood in Downtown Phoenix. After the Roosevelt Dam was built and a bright future for Phoenix was secure, the community was created. From 1885 to the 1930s, there were 88 Bungalows and Spanish Colonial homes built here. The average home has 2-3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, ranging from 800-1,200 square feet. The Woodland neighborhood has the oldest homes in Phoenix. They were built from 1885 into the 1930s.
