This community was built from 1883-1942 as one of the first additions to the original Phoenix townsite. The establishment of the streetcar there brought on the development of these homes. There are 769 houses built in a variety of architectural styles, including Bungalow, Spanish Colonial, Victorian Queen Anne, French Provincial, American Colonial and Pueblo Revival. The average home here has 2-3 bedrooms with 1-2 bathrooms. On average they’re sized from 800 to 1,800 square feet.
